What does being a Christian mean to You?

I was looking on Google asking whether or not it was ok to listen to wordly music or watching scary movies. I already knew the answer i was just trying to prove a point to a friend. and i came across someones answering saying that she was a christian and she still does everything her friends do but in my opinion that make since because becoming a christian means dying to yourslef and living for him. so back to my question What does being a a christion mean to you?

I would say that being a christian means to me ...to walk in the will of God every moment.  Also, one of the simplest things I ever heard was , "Is what you are doing, saying, and your actions making baby Jesus smile?"  Very simple, yet very profound.  We all lead by example.  Hope this helps.  God Bless!

Would you do it in the presence of Jesus? You are a follower of Christ.

First of all, it means believing that Christ is your savior - that He died and rose again for you.
Second, it means taking opportunities in life, as they present themselves, to behave as He would desire us too.
Since we are all sinners saved by grace, our day to day lives can appear to some who like to judge, to be too worldly - but that is for no one else to judge but us alone.  What you watch and listen to doesn't define your Christian walk.  There are different administrations of the Holy Spirit and the Lord can be found in all things, often in the things judged by the wise to be the least.  (see 1 Cor. 1:27-28)
The Pharisees tried to point condemning fingers at Yahshua because of the places he went and the people he hung out with.  He ate meals with publicans and sinners, and he drank wine.
Being a Christian is being a merciful, compassionate person who believes in Christ, not a superfluous appearance of goodness and piety.
    Take grace and do righteously.

Trying to be "Christlike" . I believe God sent him to us as a living example of how we should live.

Being a Christian to me means attacking strongholds and bringing them down. It also means I expose false mainstream Christian teaching for what it is - delusional lies and deceptions.

The two biggest strongholds on the earth today are the Cainite-Judeo-Christian Religion with Rome - Eastern Orthodoxy and Protestantism with all it's demon-inations (The Babylonian Mystery Religion) plus the Canaanite Jew Banking Cartel or banking system.

These two world controlling systems are what The Lord called The Synagogue of Satan.

Canaanite Jews are those who say they are Jews but are not.

To me, being a Christian means that the Father sent Jesus to me, and that I now follow him.  It also means that I must rely on Him to protect me from any ravening wolves that may be on the path, ready to strike me.

All things were created by Him and for Him.  To die to oneself is to be awakened to the ways of the Godhead.

I trust in Christ alone for my salvation. My heart belongs to HIm. He is number one in my life above everyone and everything. I pray incessantly, read and study His Word, fellowship with like minded believers and live my life to glorify Him. I look for opportunities to share the Gospel message so that hearts might be changed and souls might be saved for His Kingdom. Whenever possible, I seek to do good to those that are less fortunate.

I feel being a Christian means we must surrender our wills to the will God has for us. In my previous marriage I learned sharing in a total surrender to each other tenderly reaps huge results. I feel surrendering to Christ reaps even bigger results. Jesus gave us the Beatitudes and to love our neighbor as ourself, as well as to love our enemies. I feel also that perservering through suffering and adversity will inevitably lead us to trials that turn to grace. Summing it all up I feel a personal closeness to Jesus Christ will complete us. A walk upon hallowed ground with accepting him as our Savior.

First and foremost, it means that we are saved from the penalty of sin, from ultimate death and hell. But, I have also been saved for many years and I find the life of a believer fulfilling on its own terms in every respect: emotionally, intellectually, spiritually.

Most focus on what has to be given up (especially young people) but little emphasis is given to what is gained. This world offers a cheap imitation of life, but what Christ has to give is so much more.

It means having a relationship with God. Anyone can call themselves a Christian, but a true follower of God admits when they mess up and repent of it. I mean, God already knows when we screw up, so why hide it. And being a Christian is not easy. Some people put you down for it, but it means the world to me. I love getting to know God better because I know he will never leave me. His word is amazing and I know everything will look up eventually. He's the only one who really knows me totally and still loves me. Besides, I can always go to him.  Other religions make you earn the right. God doesn't. That means a lot.

To me it means being a religious mindless robot who will believe anything a book says like it was a real source of good information and skipping logic smile
